This last Fall recruitment season brought so many unique trends among chapters across the country. From sparkling rhinestones, to large prints to bold designs many chapters were creating the trends. Each chapter found a way to make their Bid Day special by creating never-before-seen themes, with more customization and more accessorizing for those themes. Let’s take a closer look at the top five most memorable designs and why they defined this year's Fall recruitment season.
“Sew In” Alpha Phi at The University of Arizona
Alpha Phi at the University of Arizona nailed their Bid Day theme. The Santa Cruz Top with the lipstick design perfectly highlights the “Sew In” theme. It incorporates Y2K elements such as denim, cheetah print, layered jewelry and other trendy accessories. The red, black and white accents make it pop! Overall, this was an unforgettable Bid Day theme that definitely caught the attention of chapters across the country who were also inspired by the Lipstick design.
"We J’adore PC ‘24” Alpha Chi Omega at San Diego State
This "Old Hollywood" inspired Bid Day theme was one for the books. The Newport Tee features trendy rhinestone lettering in a bold font. Alpha Chi Omega had many stylish sisters who embraced the theme. They accessorized with pearl necklaces, black and white polka dots and adorable fluffy scarves that gave it that “classic Hollywood movie feel.” The house was decorated in old film reels, Hollywood star photos and a vintage photo booth. This Bid Day captured the timeless feel of Hollywood's golden era – a sparkling theme for sure!
“MC 24’ at the Grand Soirée” Alpha Phi at Arizona State University
ASU shined with this metallic Bid Day theme! This shimmery Bid Day captures a classy soirée. This metallic Santa Cruz top was custom-made. The green and pink lettering stand out on these tops, along with the multi-colored gems on the Greek letters and spray-painted hats. This theme was out-of-this-world!
"Stars Align" Sigma Kappa at Chico State
The stars aligned with Sigma Kappa's “Star Theme” Bid Day at Chico State! This chapter embraced a unique and stylish theme by blending gold and silver metals with metallics, fur and cheetah print. The color palette combined black, silver and gold with burgundy accents. The sisters wore the Santa Cruz tank in black with a mid-size star design on the front. This trendy top with the silver lettering and a star design perfectly complemented the banners and star decorations. This Bid Day had us star-struck! It allowed every sister to absolutely shine in her own way.
“Destination: Alpha Phi” Alpha Phi at Chapman University
Pack your suitcase because Alpha Phi at Chapman University went tropical-destination style this recruitment season. The unique diagonal cut of the Marina Top was truly memorable. The realistic hot-pink hibiscus flower design stood out among other trends this Fall semester. The chapter styled the Marina top over swimsuits, with mini skirts, linen pants and they accessorized with layered jewelry, bandanas and belts. This vibrant Bid Day theme was something special, capturing the fun and tropical vibe of this home-away-from-home theme.
These five chapters were Bid Day knockouts with how each chapter styled their HLH tops! The Santa Cruz Tank, the Newport Tee and the Marina Top were all very popular styles from Fall semester. Each chapter customized these styles to fit their themes in such a unique way, the customization was endless. These chapters set the standard for innovation and style. We can’t wait to see what trends will shape the 2025 Fall semester recruitment season!
